Feedback requested on services to people with ME in London borough of Wandsworth

Wandsworth Community Partners for Neurological Conditions is a recently formed group of people, patients and carers with experience of long – term conditions such as M.S., ME, Parkinsons, MND and Acquired Brain Injury.

The group are working with staff inside Wandsworth Adult Social Services and Wandsworth NHS. We can request meetings with managers and staff of relevant health and social care services. The aim is to improve both social care and health services for people with long term neurological conditions in Wandsworth.

I am a long term carer for a person with severe M.E. and I have joined the group specifically to high-light the appalling lack of services in Wandsworth for people with this condition. In particular that there are no local M.E. Clinics, specialist nurses and suitable respite care facilities.

By the very nature of the illness people with M.E. are unlikely to have much contact with people from outside their homes so I would very much like to know of any experiences (good or bad) of sufferers from M.E. living in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

Please do get in touch – I look forward to receiving your feedback. I would prefer to be contacted by email.

  1. Sybil.

I just wanted to congratulate you and your group for this contribution.

I think that the joining together in this way of help and support for those suffering from different neurological illnesses, is a tremendous step in the right direction.

This news has prompted me to seek out similar groups in my area who might want to join forces with sufferers of CFS/ME.

    Wonderful news.

    Thank you.
