ME Positive was set up during 2004 to provide support for people suffering from ME/CFS in the East Midlands area. Members are mostly located in Leicester City, Leicestershire and Derbyshire, though we welcome people from anywhere in the East Midlands. The group is managed by people who have this condition themselves, and relies entirely on member subscription and charitable donations to carry out its work.

Group members also provide advice on local services and current research into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS. In addition to providing support, the group publishes a newsletter from time to time, and organises social events for its members.
