MEA Facebook members should note that, in the current climate of confusion about support for ME-related projects, it is important to exercise reasonable control over what research money is used for.
A vital element of the constitution of the Ramsay Research Fund is that it can only support biomedical studies that have been peer-reviewed. Considerable efforts are made to ensure that it operates within this remit.
From now on, the only fundraising messages that we will accept will be those that relate to the MEA's own charitable fundraising, to our own Ramsay Research Fund or for activities that have the expressed support of the MEA Board of Trustees.
Any posts that contravene this new rule will be removed without explanation. The decision of the moderator will be final. No private correspondence will be entered into over any deletions.
