Fundraising: Run a little – make it go a long way for the MEA | 8 April 2020

April 8, 2020

Itching to put your daily exercise routine to good use?

Under the Government's social separation rules, you're still allowed to get out of the house once a day for exercise  – providing you keep well away from others who may cross your path.

The Local Landmarks Challenge is a solo challenge that has been set up for the likes of you.  And you can be raising a bit of money for the ME Association as you do it.

Take in your local landmarks – a church, castle, park, statue or even the village shop or postbox – and you have the opportunity to earn a newly-struck medal.

The event is open to everybody. Distances over 5k quality for the challenge and you don't have to complete your chosen distance all in one day. You can spread it over a number of days.

The challenge lasts until the 3rd of May. It was set up by the organisers of the massive London  Landmarks Challenge after this event was postponed a few weeks ago.

If you would like to take part, please set up your online fundraising page here https://www.justgiving.com/meassociation

You can now put print-outs from your Strava tracker on your JustGiving page and keep your followers in touch with your progress.

Join us on Sunday 4 October 2020 – new date of the Virgin London Marathon

It should still be the biggest marathon in the world!

If you had already intended to take part in the event this month to raise funds for the ME Association, we hope we'll still see you on the starting line on 4 October. We'll be touching base with you very soon to see if you're still taking part.

If you were lucky enough to secure your own place in the public ballot, we'd love to have you come run for us.

On the day,  wear our ME Association running vest to make you look the part.
