Trustees of the MEA work as a small, compact team and they are always hoping to bring new talent on board.
The next formal opportunity comes as they approach their AGM. This is when outgoing trustees face re-election for the coming year and we elect new ones. The AGM has been fixed for Tuesday, December 4.
The trustees are looking for people with time to spare to be intimately involved with all aspects of policy and administration.
If you can bring dynamic fundraising, marketing, political and networking skills into the mix, they would really like to hear from you. People with experience of social care and health care may also like to consider applying.
People can nominate yourself without much in the way of formality but, if you are not already a member of the ME Association, you will be required to become one before you will be considered.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is Friday, September 28. Candidates’ statements and voting papers will appear in the next issue of our ME Essential magazine which will be posted out to members at the beginning of November.

Outgoing trustees this who have already indicated their willingness to stand for re-election are Dr Charles Shepherd and Ewan Dale. Mrs Ba Stafford has indicated that she wishes to retire at the AGM.
