ME Connect Telephone Helpline –  Volunteers needed!

Please can you offer some spare time to listen and support people with ME/CFS/PVFS and Long Covid?

ME Connect is the ME Association’s Support and Information Service for People Affected By ME/CFS/PVFS and Long Covid that is available 365 days a year.

This vital service supports people affected by these conditions and has a team of dedicated volunteers that are available to listen,  validate, and empathise with any issues people might be facing. The ME Association’s ME Connect service is proud member of the helplines partnership.

Russell Fleming (Head of Communications) has previously explained that:

“ME Connect is about delivering an accessible, professional, and personalised service to people in need. I think we do this very well. Indeed, throughout the pandemic and in 2022/23 we have seen much growth in the number of people seeking support and information.”

The ME Association would like to recruit several volunteers who are able to spare a few hours to cover helpline time slots, 10-12noon, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Volunteers will need a landline and full training will be provided. You would join and be part of a wonderful team who are passionate and committed to providing an exceptional service.

Hilary Briars, ME Connect Manager would like to ask potential volunteers to connect via email to discuss this opportunity and to answer any questions you may have.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please email admin@meassociation.org.uk – FAO: ME Connect.

 Thank you!
