Run for The ME Association in the world’s greatest half marathon

We're delighted to announce that the ME Association has bought 10 charity places in the world's greatest half marathon – the Great North Run.

Next year, the race will take place on Sunday, 10th September and it will return to its traditional starting line at the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle with its finish by the sea at South Shields. There will be all-day TV coverage on tap.

Some 57,000 runners are expected to take part.

If you would like to be among them, please get in touch. We will be asking our runners to pay a non-refundable registration fee upfront of £20 and then commit to raising at least £300 for the ME Association on a JustGiving page.

In return, you get the race medal and iTAB package, an ME Association running vest and as much publicity support as we can muster!

We already have two or three people running for us in the GNR but they's obtained their places independently.

If you know of anyone interested, please contact me as soon as possible.

PS I've still got to do a post-Christmas check to see how the land lies with our declared runners in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 2nd April 2022.

But I think we also still have two unfilled charity places on offer. For this race, we're asking for a commitment to raise £350 plus a £20 registration fee. Contact me please, if you're interested.
