Would you like to run for us in the London Landmarks Half?

November 9, 2021

If you would like to run for us in next year’s London Landmarks Half Marathon on 3rd April, please get in touch.

We have six confirmed members of the MEA team with 14 places remaining for runners who are prepared to commit to raising at least £250 for us by race day.

Runners accepted so far are Jonathan Pullen (Surbiton), Nicola G, Kim Thorpe (Bideford in Devon), married couple Becky and James Blachford (Wimborne, Dorset) and Barbora Butt, from East London.

For the Blachfords, the LLHM will be just one of 12 half marathons they will be running for the MEA in the coming year. They have a 16-year-old daughter who has ME.

Becky and James have already set up their fundraising page here

Hoping to join our team is Bristol medical student Alice Watt, also from Surbiton, who has been sent the MEA agreement for her signature. Alice hopes to qualify as a doctor in the summer of 2023.

If you fancy taking part in this iconic half marathon, please contact our fundraiser Tony Britton on 07946 760811 or email: tony.britton@meassociation.org.uk

Would you cheer for us on 3rd April?

Tony would also like to hear from supporters who can get into central London that day to join a ‘cheer station’ along the route. We’ll be dressing up to illustrate one of the “grand, quirky or hidden” historical London themes that will form a backdrop to the event.
