Well worth a listen!
This is a good podcast that is aimed at people in the scientific community who may not know much about ME/CFS – or its history.
The aim is to explain some of the key points in the history of ME/CFS and how they link in to the controversies surrounding GET, the PACE trial, and how the evidence for the use of GET was reviewed for the new NICE guideline.
Some of the background information is provided by the MEA.
The first part of the podcast covers ME/CFS – about 15 minutes.
The second part covers mesothelioma – a serious malignant lung condition caused by previous exposure to asbestos (NB: mesthothelioma has no connection to ME/CFS).
