On our main MEA Facebook page from 9am today (19th September), we will be raffling a brand-new, still-in-its-packing-case, Dyson V11 ‘Animal' cordless vacuum. It currently retails for prices well in excess of £350 – prices vary, depending on where you're buying it!
The vacuum has been donated to us by The James Dyson Foundation. The raffle will be used to raise funds for the ME Association's biomedical research programme.
Anyone who comes on to the MEA FB page today can enter the raffle. The price of a raffle ticket is £1 which will give the buyer one chance to win the Dyson. If you want to buy five tickets, they will cost £5 and give you five chances to win. And so on….
The raffle will begin at 9am and end at 9pm. Any payments made outside those times will be considered as donations to the ME Association and will not be entered into the raffle.
You can also enter the raffle directly from here by visiting this fundraising page but please read the rules and remember this – the raffle does not start until 9am.
The draw will be made at 9.30pm on Sunday 19th September, using a random number generator.
When buying a ticket using JustGiving, people should tick the box which allows your information to be passed on to the ME Association. And you should give your name and full home address so – if you turn out to be the winner – we know where to post the prize.
Only one prize will be awarded.
WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT ENTRIES INTO THE RAFFLE FROM PEOPLE LIVING IN ENGLAND, WALES, SCOTLAND, NORTHERN IRELAND, THE CHANNEL ISLANDS AND THE ISLE OF MAN.
The raffle promoter, Tony Britton, will dispatch the prize to the winner within two days of the close of the raffle – having notified the winner by then of their success.
