Save this ME/CFS group for all of London’s East Enders | 25 February 2015

February 25, 2016

East London ME Support Group is planning to re-structure itself this summer.

The group, which has been running for over 25 years, and covers east London all the way to the London/Essex border, has so far had to restrict its activities to holding informal get-togethers every six weeks or so.

But now Ian Purser, the current organiser, has said he will be stepping down this summer and would like to use this as an opportunity to see if the group can change and improve what it can offer.

Ian writes: “We will be holding a special meeting open to everyone interested in a support group for this area, at which we can hopefully form a committee to take on the running of the group from me – thus both spreading the load and providing more input. This will enable the group to expand what it offers, with more meetings and perhaps a newsletter, and thereby better meet people’s needs.”

The meeting will be on Saturday June 11, at 5.15pm, in the Redbridge Room, Wanstead House Community Centre, 21 The Green, Wanstead, E11 2NT, and is open not just to those with ME/CFS, but also to carers, families, friends.

We will issue more reminders about this meeting closer to the date.
