We’ve 13 places on offer | run a brilliant BUPA London 10k for us next May

August 20, 2014

We need your help to find runners to take the places we offer in the BUPA London 10k next May.

You might be recovering from ME yourself and wanting to celebrate the fact. Or you might have a close family member or friend who has ME and want to do something to raise funds to show active support for them. Either way, we need your help. Please.

If you aren’t fit now, but would like to be, then a 10k is a pretty good option – especially if you start your training soon.

In May 2014, Rhiannon Paine ran in this race with her mum and they had an absolute ball! Rhiannon was celebrating her own recovery from ME.

Another 10k runner in May was Gail Hyland. Gail had recently started getting serious about keeping fit and set herself the goal of running ran in memory of a family member.

This wasn’t something either lady undertook lightly. Both were serious about training schedules (slowly building up running times and stamina) and on improving their diets.

Both thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the event and made some super new friends too.

Think of all the famous places you know in London, this race – on 25 May 2015 – takes you past many of them!

It starts on The Mall and finishes opposite Buckingham Palace. Runners run through the City of Westminster, passing many of London’s famous sights including, Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, Bank of England, Leadenhall Market, The Monument, Millennium Bridge, Tate Gallery, Cleopatra’s Needle, the London Eye, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

We have 13 places available for this event. We can offer you a reduced entry fee, ME Association running T-shirt and full fundraising and moral support. All we'd ask is that you fundraise hard for us, ideally raising at least £250.

If you would like to run for the ME Association, please email our fundraiser HELEN HYLAND as soon as possible – letting her know why you want to support the ME Association and giving us an idea of your running background.

Please be aware that registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
