Yoga class starting at Great Notley, near Braintree, Essex, on January 26

A new yoga class for people with ME/CFS will open at Great Notley, near Braintree in Essex, on Thursday, January 26. It will concentrate on correct breathing, relaxation techniques and gentle movements.

The teacher, Leigh Acteson-Rook, will offer a free, introductory session for an hour from 1pm at the Notley Green Community Centre. If all goes well, the classes will continue every Thursday afternoon at the same time. Students should bring their own blankets and pillows.

Leigh’s mother and her best friend have both suffered with M.E. For information, please email Leigh at notleyyoga@gmail.com or visit her website www.notleyyoga.co.uk

Message from Leigh Acteson-Rook received on January 26:

The class went really well today, I had five people and all about the same level of health. One lady couldn’t manage it today as she was not well enough but hopefully she can join soon. The class is limited to seven people so I am really happy with the response. Two people came as they had seen it in the magazine, so thanks again. I encouraged them to join as I think the magazine articles are very useful. I will be joining myself too.

I will keep you updated with the class progress.
