Sir Andrew Stunell, Liberal Democrat MP for Hazel Grove, popped into the 25th birthday celebrations of the Stockport ME Group on July 12.

The MP, seen cutting the cake with group chairman Angela Britland, joined 60 past and present members at an unusual venue for the group – Boundary House in Cheadle, an empty office block where the charity ‘Life with Art' had staged Juliet Chenery-Robson's photo exhibition ‘A Diagnosis of Exclusion' about living with M.E.

Normally the group meets at the Toby Carvery in Stockport but Boundary House gave them space for more visitors, a variety of display stands and a chance to stretch one's legs while looking at the photos.

Stallholders included Disability Stockport, the local ME nurses, nutritional therapist Caroline Keighley, osteopath Dr Raymond Perrin and therapeutic trainer Jan Williams.
