Volunteering for ME Connect

The role

You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment on ME Connected. You will start as an assistant moderator, however, after successfully completing a probationary period you may progress to the moderator role.

You will:

  • Monitor discord messages ensuring that the group rules are upheld at all times.
  • Maintain rules by issuing warnings and timing out users if needed
  • Communicate and report issues to lead moderators

Key skills:

  • A gentle, empathic and sensitive approach
  • Ability to manage conflict in a calm and fair manner
  • Emotional resilience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT proficiency

Desirable :

  • Experience of moderating on a discord community
