Wanted – help with survey on long-term use of prescription medicines | 14 November 2013

November 14, 2013

Adults in the UK who take prescription medicines for their long-term illnesses are being invited to take part in an online survey which is attempting to find out how long-term medication affects their lives and outlook on life.

The questionnaire is being run by four final year students on an MPharm course at the Medway School of Pharmacy at Chatham, which is part of the Universities of Greenwich and Kent.

“The findings will support the Medicines Optimisation agenda developed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society”, commented one of the students, Rubana Rubaseyone. “We are writing to ask you in you will kindly support our study in a small way.”

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society initiative is supporting an NHS call for safer but optimised use of medicines in order to improve the prescribing, dispensing, administering and taking of medicine.

The survey should only take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and it is being supervised by Professor Janet Krska at the Medway School of Pharmacy. You can find it HERE.
