Oodles Of Energy And Bags Of Fun – It’s All Go At Crayford!

Oodles of energy and bags of fun – it’s all go at Crayford!

We don’t know where they find the energy – this group of friends in Kent would make a fortune if they could only pluck it out of thin air and bottle it!

They regularly put on Crafternoon Afternoons for charity in a village hall in Crayford. And on Sunday last week (5th March), the ME Association turned out to be the lucky ones.

Mother-of-two Vicky Kingman, the cheeky one standing out from the crowd (second from right), passed on the £405.27 they had raised for us.

Vicky, who is 48 and has had ME since her early teens, said 52 people turned up to enjoy the afternoon.

This time it focused on making mosaics, those delightfully jewelled artworks where lots of differently coloured stones, tiles and pieces of glass are PVA-glued on to backing sheets of MDF cut into unusual shapes.

Leaflets about the MEA were included in each mosaic bag. And there were some superb bakes to be tucked into.

Thank you all for making it our day and may your Crafternoon Afternoons continue to make people feel happy and engaged on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
