The MEA Alert Card is designed to fit in your wallet or purse and is the same size as a debit or credit card. You can add your personal details and GP contact information. It comes with a brief description of M.E. and can be used to inform others in case of emergency.

Wording on the card reads:

Front: “I have a medical condition known as M.E. This means I can be very unwell and have problems with my balance, cognition, and mobility.”

Reverse: “Myalgic Encephalopathy is a complex neurological condition with a wide range of disabling symptoms. The ME Association supports, informs, advocates, and invests in biomedical research.”

The ME Association telephone helpline – ME Connect – is available every day of the year, during the hours of 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Please phone: 0344 576 5326 if you have any questions or would simply like to talk to someone who is there to listen.

Alert Cards can be ordered here in the website shop. Once purchased, they will be sent in the post by Head Office. Please be aware that delivery may be slightly delayed owing to the Covid situation.
