It is none other than Stuart Murdoch, lead singer of Belle and Sebastian, M.E. sufferer and advocate who is wearing one of Jonathan’s t-shirts.
Jonathan Davis is 39 and lives in rural Aberdeenshire with his wife Alison and their daft flat-coated retriever Trudy.
Jonathan has had M.E. for around 2 years and hasn’t been able to work (as a police officer) since September 2017. He is currently ploughing any spare energy into raising awareness and funds for M.E.
One of Jonathan’s ventures is the sale of ME-themed T-shirts which spell out “reMEmber”. These are available through his RememberME online clothing store and all proceeds go to the ME Association.
Jonathan said, “In time I would love to see supporters sharing photos or videos of them in their new clothes on social media and sharing our message.”
He wrote to Stuart Murdoch’s Manager, telling her about his campaign. She said that she was more than happy to support the cause, ordered a T-shirt and it took little persuading to get Stuart to model it.
Thank you Jonathan, and Stuart, for all you continue to do the help raise awareness of M.E. and of the many issues faced by people with the condition.
