Sue Pemberton, founder of the new Yorkshire Fatigue Clinic, talking in Doncaster tomorrow (18 October 2012)

October 17, 2012

Sue Pemberton, founder of the new Yorkshire Fatigue Clinic, will be guest speaker at a meeting in Doncaster on Thursday, October 18.

Widely recognised as a consultant occupational therapist, Sue Pemberton led the NHS ME/CFS service in Leeds for 22 years until her departure earlier this year when the service was restructured. She was so well regarded by colleagues that as recently as 2012 she won her NHS Trust's Award for Outstanding Service. For a while, she was also the NHS regional clinical champion for ME/CFS.

Pemberton was also co-author with Catherine Berry of the 2009 book Fighting Fatigue: a practical guide to managing the symptoms of CFS/ME, which was well reviewed in our ME Essential magazine.

Tomorrow's meeting – being organised by the Doncaster, Barnsley and Dearne Valley Leger-ME Group – will be held at the Redmond Centre, High Street, Carcroft, Doncaster DN6 8DN, at 1pm. Anyone with ME/CFS or an interest in the illness will be welcome to attend.
