On June 2nd 2026, BBC Morning Live featured an interview with Dr Ranj about ME/CFS. The ME Association were involved in discussions prior to the interview, and an article about ME/CFS was published on the BBC website, based on information provided by the ME Association, prior to this interview (please note the MEA provided information for this article, but did not write it or see a final version until after it was published*).
This interview came about as a result of the ME Association emailing the BBC about their prior interview with Dr Duke on BBC Morning Live about the Sequence ME study, which generated some upset in the ME community – you can read more about the interview and watch the clip of it via the link here.

The ME Association are very pleased to have been mentioned during the interview. Thank you Adam (aka @BrokenBattery) for recording this clip.
*N.B. Comment from Dr Charles Shepherd: This new summary of some of the key facts about ME/CFS is based on information that was provided to the BBC by the MEA over the weekend. We did not write the actual article and only saw the final version after it had been published. Having said that I think the BBC have now provided a satisfactory explanation of ME/CFS considering that the content is obviously being aimed at a very wide non medical audience and not just people who have ME/CFS.
