Let's talk ME. I was honoured to be asked to step into chair the APPG, the All Party Parliamentary group on behalf of Jo Platt today. It was really encouraging to see a number of MPs and MPs researchers present. So I want to offer my thanks to Action for ME and the ME Association for providing support to the All Party Parliamentary Group, and important information.

I'd also like to recognise There for ME, who have made it so easy to understand why it's essential to reverse literally decades of neglect for those living with ME. What really came home today was the lack of investment in services for all degrees of ME, as well as the travesty of such minuscule amounts of government funding that are needed for more research to build on this year's exciting research findings and to develop the diagnostics and the treatments.

So, it's clear that as we look to 2026, there's plenty that needs MPs engagement across the ME community. There's valuable shared lived experience and analysis to inform the work that we do.

So let's get on with it. Let's all work together next year.

I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you!
