The third and final session in the ME/CFS e-learning series, Managing Severe ME/CFS, is now live on the NHS Learning Hub.
NHS England Information
This session provides practical, evidence-based guidance for healthcare professionals supporting people living with severe and very severe ME/CFS. It covers four key areas:
- Strategies for care in the community
- Nutritional support and risk management
- Managing risk in hospital care
- Pharmaceutical support
As planned, and due to the content being comprehensive, this final session is accessible only to healthcare professionals working in the NHS, government, and education sectors. It has also been reviewed by NICE and gone though extensive QA, and hopefully will support general clinicians in providing better patient care.
These sessions will be reviewed periodically in any case, as well as whenever any new evidence comes to light and updated accordingly.
MEA Comment
The ME Association has written to the DHSC to ask for this module to be made open access – so that people with severe and very severe ME/CFS, along with their carers and partners, have access to this important medical information.
