As far as I know the service isn’t set up & the only service available is management plan which involves basic ideas of living healthy nothing ground breaking.Long wait list, the help isn’t substantial for the illness.There is no cure or effective help, they admit that.More research to be done in to it to find a cure or medication that doesn’t make the illness worse.Such complex illness.
Appalling. Two years to be accepted at which point I’d deteriorated from mild to severe and could no longer get around my house let along their location. I was then offered a psychiatrist appt in order to access services despite ME being a physiological illness – do cancer patients have to go through a psych evaluation to access treatment? No. Also, CBT and GET offered after NICE guideline changed

The myalgic encephalomyelitis (or encephalopathy)/chronic fatigue syndrome service offers multidisciplinary assessment and management for adults from 18 years with ME/CFS.
The emphasis of our service is on self-management and developing personalised care and support plans.Referrals accepted via GP.Open: Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.
