In response to a recent parliamentary question from Martin Wrigley MP, it was confirmed that NHS England colleagues in the South West have been engaging with the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, to develop formal pathways for acute and emergency admissions for people with ME/CFS.
This signals that ME/CFS is now factoring into healthcare planning at a strategic level, an important development that we hope will lead to further improvements in care across all levels of severity.
We will continue to press for clarity on wider service provision and advocate for equitable access to appropriate healthcare for all those affected by ME/CFS in Devon and beyond.
