Please pledge at least £100 now (or whatever you can afford) for the matched-funding pot.
We're hoping to have £25,000-worth of pledges in the pot by Friday, 8th September, which is the revised deadline for the pledging phase of our Big Give Christmas Challenge. But we need a little bit more of a push to get there. So far, 97 of our amazing supporters have pledged £24,670!
This year we are asking our supporters to build up the resilience of our information, support and advocacy services so we can continue our tradition of offering highly valued support – in the face of rising demand for what we do.
Our public appeal will launch on 28th November on the Big Give Christmas Challenge platform. Providing £25,000-worth of pledges are in place by the beginning of September, we hope the Challenge this year will raise a total of £100,000.
We're not asking for money now – only your pledges. We won't ask you to redeem your pledge until after the Christmas Challenge closes on 5th December.
Next step: The Big Give will then ask the people who bankroll their charity work – a mixture of big companies and private philanthropists – to top up our pot with another £25,000.
Whether they do that in full – or indeed at all – depends largely on how well we've managed to fill that pot.
So please make your pledge today. This is a fab opportunity to make every donation to our Christmas Challenge worth twice as much and to make the matched funding pot last much longer!
