Our search for runners to enter what is arguably the world's biggest half marathon race has been successfully concluded. Ten people have now signed up for all the available MEA charity places in the AJ Bell Great North Run on 10th September.
Please give a great big MEA welcome to:
Steve Moxon, Darren Blake, Adam Blake, Adam Doyle, Nic Evans, Jenni Farrer, Tim Carey, Joanna Baker, Georgia Mulraine and Helen Bunting.
[Roar of applause heard coming from the wings. Thank you! Thank you!]
Martha Ellett has agreed to be first reserve in case anyone from our group drops out before 10th July – the last date on which the organisers will accept entries at the race console.
In the meantime, Martha will also apply for a place through the public ballot, which opened earlier this month and closes at 10am on Monday 10th February.
If you would like to chance your hand and see if you can get in through the ballot, please click on the link below. If you then choose to raise money for The ME Association, I would be delighted to support you.
We're also delighted that Stephen Fargent, who obtained a place independently, will also be running for The ME Association.
This week, I'm finalising our team places in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 2nd April. More on this later.
