Meeting at Westminster on the Government’s Disability Strategy | 12 June 2012

June 8, 2012

A meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Disability Strategy will be held next Tuesday (June 12) between 2.30 and 3.30pm in Committee Room 4a, Houses of Parliament – which will be joined by members of the APPG on M.E. The main speaker will be the Minister for Disabled People, Maria Miller MP.

This meeting is co-hosted by the APPGs on Disability, Autism, Deafness, Eye Health and Visual Impairment, Learning Disability, Mental Health, and M.E.

It will discuss the Government’s forthcoming Disability Strategy. The Minister will tell the members what the Government have heard from disabled people and disability organisations during their consultation earlier this year and share emerging thinking on the strategy. A panel of disabled people will participate in the discussion.

Because of the number of APPGs co-hosting the meeting, places for observers are limited. Please RSVP to campaigns@disabilityrightsuk.org if you wish to be allocated a place on a first-come, first-served basis.
