Brand New MEA Alert Card

The new plastic MEA Alert Card is designed to fit in your wallet or purse and is the same size as a debit or credit card. It comes with a brief description of ME/CFS and can be used to inform others in case of emergency.

The text on the front of the card reads as follows:

“I have ME/CFS, a complex multisystem disease that is an energy-limiting condition. ME/CFS is a long-term chronic illness that can cause problems with cognition, communication, balance and mobility.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Encephalopathy is classed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a neurological condition. It has a wide range of disabling symptoms including: Debilitating fatigue, Post-exertional malaise, Cognitive difficulties, Sleep disturbance and Sensory sensitivities.”

There is space on the back of the card to add emergency contact details.
