I have 6 sessions with a doctor who really listens to me & understands my symptoms. I’ve had extensive useful tests uncovering co-morbidities (including a stomach ulcer & SIBO). I was offered a range of therapies. Reflexology & Tai Chi helped. I have acupuncture & cardiology appointments soon. Physio didn’t help me but the physio was knowledgeable (& nice!). Pacing & mindfulness are also available
Here I saw the first doctor to really listen to me, and she understood my symptoms. I was offered many different therapies and tested for co-morbidities, especially my gut issues. I have been helped by reflexology and Tai Chi, and have acupuncture coming soon. For me the physio didn't help but the physiotherapist was knowledgeable (and nice!). Advice on pacing and mindfulness are also available.
Thoroughly diagnosed & explained ME but only offered pacing & other basic self management advice. Refused to discuss other poss treatments or referrals to physio, dietician etc. 9 month to next appt.
The Dr doesn’t listen and gives only basic info. I asked for clarification, was told to google it. The physio exercises felt generic, not personalised. The occupational therapist is excellent.
This clinic believes in us. They may not cure, but the treatments they offer make our illness bearable.
Not a medical service, homeopathy. Didn’t take an up to date history, wasn’t aware of current NICE guidelines, recommended disproven and potentially harmful therapies such as The Lightning Process.
The service is based on NICE (National Institute of Health and Care Excellence) and EULAR (European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology) guidelines for these conditions. The aims of the service are to:
- Help you understand your condition
- Enable you to develop helpful coping strategies to manage symptoms
- Reduce distress and disability
- Improve your quality of life
We use a holistic approach, meaning that we look at both the physical and psychological aspects of the illness.
