We provide a specialist NHS community-based service for people in Oxfordshire with ME/CFS.

  • The service is for adults with moderate to severe ME/CFS as well as for young people over the age of 14. Our team is made up of three therapists with specialist expertise in ME/CFS who hold clinics around the county or in people’s homes.
  • Confirmation of diagnosis is provided by a highly specialised clinical lead practitioner or the specialist therapists in the team. Young people under the age of 16 will need to have the diagnosis confirmed by a paediatrician.

Our service aims to offer:

  • individualised, person-centred programmes that aim to sustain or gradually extend, if possible, the person’s physical, emotional and cognitive capacity.
  • support in managing the physical and emotional impact of symptoms – as recommended by NICE, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

The service also acts as a specialist resource to clinicians in health and social care to increase understanding and awareness of ME/CFS.
