M.E. sufferer and Dr Who fan Shirley Procter called in the team from ‘The Instant Gardener', BBC1's latest gardening show, to do a makeover of her garden in Manchester – with the results being shown on the programme yesterday (July 27).
The gardener, Danny Clarke, delivered in spadefuls as he remodelled the back garden in just 10 hours, giving it a time portal feel while co-presenter Helen Skelton interviewed Shirley about her illness.
Also featured are Shirley husband's Keith, a family friend, Stuart, a visit to a local musician's private garden and a shopping expedition to a nearby garden centre.
