βShe deserves a medal as big as a dustbin lid!β Thatβs what MEA member Carly Leese thinks about her mother Yvette.
βMy mum has been my rock for a good number of years, helping me through some very bad mental health struggles back in 2014. I was diagnosed with ME in 2017 and thereβs been there for me ever sinceβ, she writeS from the family home in Stoke-on-Trent.
βShe often stays at my flat, helping with most things, such as cleaning and cooking, although Iβm the better cook 🙂!
βShe deserves a medal as big as a dustbin lid for all of the help that she gives to myself, and the rest of the family.
βAs I said, she is my rock, but she is also my best friend and partner in crime when my body allows me to go out. But, even when we are in my flat, we laugh at most things, but I think that is to do with my sense of humour. β
βThink Sarah Millican, but the Stoke-on Trent version.
βNo amount of money or βthank youβsβ could ever replace the help, care and love that my Mum has given to me over the years.
βI love her so much, I donβt know what Iβd do without her.β
Thank you, Carly β that was a lovely tribute and you sent in some gorgeous photos of the two of you together.
Carly has nominated Yvette for a hamper in our great Christmas give-away which is now beginning to wind down in the run-up to the holiday.
