National Volunteers Week runs from the 1st to 7th June and we'd like to take the opportunity to say ‘Thank you' once again to our incredible team of volunteers.
They not only work the telephones on our ME Connect Helpline, help keep the office running at Gawcott, and spread themselves so generously through our Board of Trustees – but there are those who help the Board with its work and we must not leave out our truly amazing fundraisers.
Although it's invidious to single out anyone by name, you know who you are.
And we know you as a dedicated bunch of people who turn up week after week (in some cases, day in day out) and give so much of your time and energy to help and support those in need.
You are at the heart of our unique little charity and you help promote the work we do in a positive and professional manner to the outside world.
It's an exciting time for the ME Association. There have been lots of changes to help improve the services we provide and you've all shown tremendous grit and determination to help us win through.
We're looking forward to the challenges that the next 12 months will bring and we couldn't be happier that you are going to be part of the next chapter in our story.
