A week-long series starts on BBC1 next week ‘Operation Meet the Street' in which celebrity chef James Martin meets other celebs in streets where they grew up, gets them to meet local folk and then set up social networks to beat loneliness.
In episode 4 next Thursday (December 18) at 9.15am, the chef meets Alex Jones – her off ‘The One Show' – in Ammanford where they meet a 40-year-old father of two – who has depression and physical conditions that lead to feelings of loneliness – and a 24-year-old woman with ME and her carer husband, who suffer from loneliness.
