This recommended 61-page brooklet was compiled to provide the information necessary to understand, diagnose and manage the symptoms of M.E. in children and young people.
M.E. affects children and adolescents as well as adults. This 61-page brochure – which we make available as a free download – was compiled to provide the information necessary to understand, diagnose and manage the symptoms of the illness in children and young people.
The primer was written by consensus of the members of the International Writing Group for Paediatric ME/CFS, who made every effort to ensure that the information provided was accurate and up to date at the time of publication in June 2017. The panel of contributing authors included Dr Nigel Speight (Hon. Paediatric Adviser to the ME Association).
The text of the primer originally appeared in Frontiers in Paediatrics on 19 June 2017, from the following authors: Rowe PC, Underhill RA, Friedman KJ, Gurwitt A, Medow MS, Schwartz MS, Speight N, Stewart JM, Vallings R and Rowe KS.
