The ME Association has awarded the two guaranteed places it has bought in next year's London Marathon to Victoria Randall, a senior lecturer in physical education at Roehampton University, south London, and physiotherapist Colin Green, who has his own practice in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Victoria and Colin's applications were selected from a short list of 12 after we started advertising for runners on the London Marathon website earlier this year.
And – in strokes of good fortune – both Vicky and Colin have roped in other runners who have also agreed to run for the ME Association. Vicky will be joined by her friend Julie Penman, who is a corporate market development manager, and Colin will train alongside running club partner Stuart Carroll. Julie and Stuart won London Marathon ballot places for next year,
All four runners wilh have the MEA's full fundraising and publicity support right up to the date of the marathon on Sunday, April 25, and beyond. We'll keep this website posted on developments.
BOTH VICKY AND COLIN HAVE GOT OFF TO FLYING STARTS WITH THEIR FUNDRAISING. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SECURE ONLINE DONATIONS TO THE ME ASSOCIATION THROUGH THEIR PAGES, PLEASE CLICK ON THE APPROPRIATE BOX BELOW.
