There’s one main public event listed in our Events Calendar for this month – an ME Derbyshire event being held on Saturday November 28 at which Professor Tony Pinching will be the main speaker.
Professor Pinching, who is associate dean for Cornwall at the Peninsula Medical School in Truro, will talk on “Current perspectives on ME/CFS” at the meeting to be held in Mickleover Methodist Church Centre, Station Road, Mickleover, which starts at 2pm.
His talk is expected to include a brief overview of key current research; dealing with sleep and pain problems; coping with long term ME/CFS and aspects of the NICE Guidelines. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
People with CFS/ME, carers, health professionals and anyone interested in the illness will all be welcome. This event is FREE but you need to book! To reserve your place, email your details or tel: 01332 675079 by 11 November 2009.
The event is part of ME Derbyshire’s 21st Anniversary celebrations.
