Bike ride in the West Country for the ME Association on October 3

May 13, 2009

The ME Association has teamed up with a major events organiser to offer our supporters the chance to join a charity bike ride in the West Country on Saturday, October 3.

Two routes will be offered, both starting at Coate Water Country Park on the outskirts of Swindon.

The first will be a 50 km route which will cost £55 to enter. The second is a longer route – 100 km – when the entry fee will be £65.

Coate Water is just five minutes from the M5 and on the edge of some glorious, rolling countryside which in October should  be glowing with early autumn colours.

Once the entry fee has been paid, every penny you raise will go to The ME Association.

Before you pay your entry fee, please email our publicity manager to put you on our list of participants, or phone him on 01406 370293. Tell him that you would like some printed sponsor forms and MEA T-shirts. You can also raise money online for us by visiting us

Mountain bikes are essential for both these routes because there there will be plenty of muddy patches and puddles.

Riders will be challenged so thorough preparation is essential. The organising company, Across the Divide, will provide bike advice, training guidance and kit recommendations, as well as steward the course.
