MEA trustees – call for nominations extended

Because delivery of our latest quarterly ME Essential was delayed due to technical problems at the printers, we have extended the time in which people can apply to join our Board of Trustees to 30 March.

We reprint the announcement from ME Essential below. It now contains the new date.

Nominations invited for our Board of Trustees

Nominations are invited from people willing to join our Board of Trustees. We would like to hear from people interested not only in looking at the bigger picture but engaging in the day-to-day management of the Association.

The ME Association has no chief executive so decisions are taken collectively. There are usually six board meetings a year. Much of the communication between trustees is through an internal message board so nominees will need to have access to a computer.

Board meetings are generally held in the Buckingham area, where the Annual General Meeting covering the year ending 31 December 2007 will be held later this year, in June or July. The actual date will be announced in the next issue of ME Essential.

Two existing members of the Board – Mark Douglas and Ba Stafford – are this year required to stand for re-election, and have indicated their willingness to do so.

If you would lke to stand for election, please write to us by Monday, March 30, explaining briefly why – and enclose a 150-word statement that we can publish in the next issue of ME Essential, together with the voting paper.

Send your letter and candidate’s statement to:

Gill Briody, Company Secretary, ME Association, 7 Apollo Office Court, Radclive Road, Gawcott, Bucks MK18 4DF.

People standing for election must be members of The ME Association.
