Instead of their traditional format of serving up a main speaker (or two) for their annual conference, this year Sheffield ME Group will be holding a series of four workshops at the event on Saturday, October 18.
Well-known writer of fiction for young people Berlie Doherty – who has just become patron of the Sheffield Group – will be leading a creative writing workshop. Her latest book is a murder mystery set in the Derbyshire Peak District called "A Beautiful Place for a Murder".
The healing power of humour will be celebrated at a laughter workshop led by Jo Eady, who already has an army of friends and followers in the ME world.
There will be an ME/CFS management workshop led by Mark Adams. And Dr Bailey will lead a workshop on Essential Fatty Acids.
The event will be held at The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield S1 4FW. It will start at 1.30pm and finish at 4.30pm. There will be free admission, and visitors can select a choice of two workshops in which to take part when they arrive. Light refreshments will be served.
