Tragic death of Mr Kevin Tripp

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mr Kevin Tripp, who died last night after an incident the night before in the check-out queue at Sainsbury’s store in Merton, south west London.

Mr Tripp, who had ME for several years, ran a website called ME in West London to help other sufferers. He was a member of The ME Association until 2004.

Aged 57, he was a structural engineer who lived in Wimbledon with his long-term partner, Josephine James. The couple have a five-year-old child called Rianna.

The incident was reported in great detail on the front page of today’s Daily Mail, and has since then been picked up by the rest of the UK media.

Two people have since been charged with Mr Tripp’s murder.
