The clinical champion of the Leeds and West Yorkshire ME/CFS service and a colleague will be talking about pacing and graded activity at a meeting being hosted by Kirklees Independent ME Support Group in Huddersfield on Tuesday, 6 May.
Clinical champion Sue Pemberton, who is a consultant occupational therapist, and Ian Portlock, senior occupational therapist, will be at thenervecentre, 2nd Floor, Standard House, Half Moon Street, Huddersfield HD1 2FJ, for the meeting, being held between 1.30 and 3.30pm.
There will also be discussion about the possibility of using thenervecentre at some time in the future as the venue for a local ME/CFS clinic – in line with NHS strategy to make best use of what the NHS calls "social capital and communities".
Group leader Janet Taylor says all will be welcome at meeting but, if local people can't get along, they can always receive updates and share humour through their bi-monthly newsletter. Telephone inquiries to Mrs Christine Parton on 01484 539631, but please only between 4 and 9pm.
