MEA announces two new patrons

The ME Association is pleased to announce two new Patrons: 

Louie Ramsay, daughter of the late Dr Melvin Ramsay – the infectious diseases physician who established ME as a distinct clinical entity following the outbreak of this illness at London’s Royal Free Hospital back in 1955.

Louie has had a successful acting career in both television and the theatre. Read her CV.

George Baker, her husband, who is a distinguished television (Inspector Wexford), film and theatre actor. Read his CV.

Dr Melvin Ramay’s book on the history of ME, including the Royal Free outbreak, is published by the MEA and can be obtained using the order form on either the MEA website or in the April issue of our magazine.
