Yesterday at Holyrood, in its final meeting before the Scottish election, the Cross Party Group on ME (CPG) agreed the final wording of a policy document for its work when it is reformed in June. Members of the Scottish Parliament also agreed their final correspondence with individuals and committees in support of current strategies.
After the election, patient representatives may be faced with the need to lobby existing and new MSPs to participate in the running of the CPG – should election changes prevent current MSPs resuming their involvement.
Scottish members are reminded that applications for postal voting should now be submitted urgently.
Scottish Parliamentary general elections and elections to Scotland’s 32 councils normally take place every four years on the first Thursday in May. The next elections for both the Parliament and councils are due to be held on 3 May 2007.
