New patron for The ME Association

John Bercow, MP for Buckingham, has accepted an invitation to become a patron of The ME Association.

Mr Bercow officially opened the association’s Buckingham office in April 2002. On 12 June that year, he led a well-attended adjournment debate in the House of Commons when he called for more physical research into the illness.

Other patrons of The ME Association are HRH The Duke of Kent KG GCMG KCVO and Etain, Lady Hagart-Alexander, widow of Sir Claud Hagart-Alexander Bt, Laird of Ballochmyle, who died last year.
